PAPER SHOES
This is the free Marie Antoinette fancy paperclip shoe pattern. The shoe is about 2-1/4" in length and I've added little butterfly shapes to the heels but you can decorate it any way you want. The little flowers are polymer clay with diamond prism centers but you could use any little decoration you want as a substitute.
THE ORIGINAL
The full size shoe pattern was created by Terri Heinz at Artful Affirmations © 2010. There have been many copies and "re-designs" of this pattern through the years. But you can still find her original pattern here: Marie Antoinette shoe pattern. And her YouTube video that shows you how to make it with all the variations here: Terri Heinz Elegant Shoe pattern. And if you need an idea fix for making them, there is a showcase here: Decorated Shoes where it also links to her pattern.
We called them Marie Antoinette shoes back then because there was a Marie Antoinette mail art group on Ning that I was a member of, and so was Terri. She hosted a Marie Antoinette shoe swap that I participated in (I still have the shoe I traded for) where you would make, decorate and fill a paper shoe with fancy goodies and trade it with your assigned partner through the mail. I have not found a pattern or creator that pre-dates Terri's shoe and I believe Terri should be given proper credit for her hand drawn pattern.
