Oh What a Month!

My paper crafting addiction is in full swing. November 11 - 13 is marked off my calendar as Anna Griffin Create 8 weekend. So don't ask me to go anywhere, cook anything or bother me on those days. I've already given my family the rules for those days.

There are nine classes of ninety minutes each with an hour in-between for three consecutive days and the first two days have two hour evening virtual craft rooms for meeting people, sharing tips and just talking paper crafting in general. So I'm going to be occupied.

Yes, it's a craft-a-palooza created for craft-aholics and all so called Griffinites of every skill level. At the end of the event there is a big special sale of Anna Griffin products just for the event participants. It truly is the paper crafters event of the year. You used to have to travel to Georgia, arrange for lodging and meals to attend the Create events every year (I never could afford to do that) but covid changed all that and now we do it virtually online. The package of materials is sent to your home so you save on food, lodging and travel.

A lot of the items from the nine classes were briefly previewed online and some of them were pre-sold before the event. Like these edge dies.

I probably will attend annually when I can now because it costs about a fourth or fifth of what the in person event used to cost and now just about anyone can afford to go. You can even get on a payment plan. Or, you've got a whole year to save up. I was sponsored this year by someone named Stephanie. I was so excited when I saw my name picked!

These ornament dies are one of the Create 8 lessons that are out too before the event so those that aren't going can participate in what everyone else is making too.

You know that I haven't been able to keep my hands off the contents. I've touched everything at least twice and made at least one of everything already. I want to watch and participate in the event, not scramble for pieces to put together while it's going on. I'll have at least half of this box made before it ever gets here if I don't quit.

I can't believe there are people who don't open their boxes until the actual event!!! I could never do that... I mean it belongs to you... you are the boss of those boxes...  and it is sitting right there... just OPEN IT!!! For Pete's sake!!!

Tags! Tags! And more tags. These dies were released for sale before the event too. I made eight so far but they are unlimited! Make sure you are stocked up on ribbon for these. You need bows of wide ribbon for these and the castle ornament. You do get some striped wide ribbon in the pack for the class but you will want to make more bows of the wide ribbon for these.

LET THE CRAFTING BEGIN!!!
